"Rehearsal dinner for our daughter’s wedding. We needed a location to hold 30 people for rehearsal dinner and the Publick House was fantastic for that! I planned it a couple weeks prior and they were so extremely helpful!! They made the event feel so special. The grounds are gorgeous, the food is fantastic and the staff is so nice and accommodating! "My friend and I went to lunch, at 12 sharp, per our reservations, we were seated by 12:02. Excellent! Had drinks, made perfect. Ordered our meals, (we both had turkey dinner) and it was great. Really great. Everything was delicious, hot, and presented well. We were both full, and brought home leftovers. A great cup of coffee finished the meal off nicely. We get together only three to four times a year, so we like to go someplace we trust..."

"I attended an event on June 4. It was in a large tent. Very nice. The food was good. Service was great. 4 ladies working an event for about 150 people. These women worked their butts off. What I didnt like was that they had to put the water glasses out by hand. Carrying racks of filled water glasses by hand. They definitely could have used a cart and some trays to make this easier. I dont recall ever seeing..."

"I only went for the restaurant, so I can’t judge the full inn experience, but this place has something a lot of “historic” places completely fail at: it actually feels warm instead of staged. The food was genuinely great. Not “nice for the setting,” not “better than expected” — just really good.
